Load the brief first.

The 6-block context framework is what you put in front of any assistant before the work starts. Fill the six blocks, paste them, then ask for the task.

  1. Goal. What it must produce, for whom, and why. Produce a one-page investment thesis for an institutional committee.
  2. Constraints. Rules, boundaries, and format. Use only publicly available data. Output in bullet points. Maximum 500 words.
  3. Reference material. The facts and documents for this task. Paste annual report excerpts or an earnings transcript.
  4. Examples. A sample of the quality and style you want. Paste a prior analysis you liked.
  5. Procedures. The order of work. First demand drivers, then the competitive landscape, then valuation.
  6. Evaluation rubric. How it checks the result before delivery. Flag unsourced claims, and name what it could not check.
The prompt
Use these six blocks as the whole brief. Do not start the work until each block is filled. If a block is empty, ask for it. Do not guess, and do not invent facts that were not supplied.

1. Goal
What you must produce, for whom, and why.
[Example: Produce a one-page investment thesis for an institutional committee.]

2. Constraints
Rules, boundaries, and format.
[Example: Use only publicly available data. Output in bullet points. Maximum 500 words.]

3. Reference material
The facts, documents, and approved sources for this task. Use only what is pasted here.
[Paste annual report excerpts, earnings call transcripts, or other source material.]

4. Examples
A sample of the quality and style you want.
[Paste a prior analysis you liked.]

5. Procedures
The order of work.
[Example: First assess demand drivers, then the competitive landscape, then valuation.]

6. Evaluation rubric
How to check the result before you deliver it.
[Example: Flag if any claims are unsourced, and name what you could not check.]

When the six blocks are filled, do the work. Before you deliver, run the rubric and show what failed it.
